Jeff Clark: Perspective on Stats

Note: This post is from my fellow Elder at CRBC, Jeff Clark, and is shared with his permission:

This is not an attempt to minimize the present Covid_19 emergency.

Numbers are rounded off.

The number cases Covid_19 cases (340, 000)
Covid_19 Deaths (10,000)
Recoveries (18,000)

Number of Abortion Cases this year in USA: 227,000
Number of deaths 227,000
Number of recoveries 0

Which one is the larger threat to human life?  Which one is preventable? Which one is caused by humans?

If there is a political advantage to be gained? Who will benefit from both the abortion numbers,  the $2, 000,000,000,000 pork-laden spending bill, Covid_19 disruptions, deaths, and job losses?

Just wondering?? Corrections welcomed.

Hello Dr. Riddle,

As of today 73,839 deaths worldwide are reported due to COVID-19.

I don't downplay the virus as a virus (and I'm certainly of the persuasion that the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions should be protected, just like with any nasty virus or bug), but I do dissent the utterly disconnected response to contextual data.

Yes, this year so far, and as of today:

11,231,602 on-purpose deaths (murders) by abortion

Additionally, this year so far, and as of today:

3,430,022 deaths by communicable disease
128,480 deaths by seasonal flu
2,170,026 deaths by cancer
259,171 deaths by malaria
356,674 deaths by road traffic accidents

It does us well to compare and contrast the data.

Risk and life go hand in hand, as does responsibility. Shuttering the world is irresponsible, unjust, dramatically foolish, and incredibly risky.

I think we are witnessing the results of a world that denies God on so many fronts. A seismic social shift has boiled over, and COVID-19 is the pot on the stove.

Every death is a tragedy, a result of sin: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sin" (Romans 5:12).

Thanks be to the living and only Sovereign Lord God -- for grace in the midst of ruin! "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1,2).

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,

Howie
