I passed a birthday milestone this week, and this evening my family gave me a birthday supper followed by a concert recital from the children (complete with a printed program). Joseph sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider." Isaiah played "Butterfly" and "Paper Ships" on the piano, and Sam played "Rage over a lost penny." The boys sang a trio of "Peter and John went to pray." Hannah played "Rock of Ages" on the piano. Lydia played an original song she wrote "Let Go" on guitar while Hannah joined her in a duet to sing the lyrics. The concert closed with all the children singing "All in All," complete with a round and blended harmonies.
Birthday presents don't get much better for a Dad! The Lord has richly blessed me not just in the past year but in all of life. SDG!
