Speaking on Text Criticism in Roanoke on September 12, 2011

I will be speaking at the next meeting of the Society for the Preservation of Baptist Principles and Practices, meeting at Plantation Road Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:30 am.  The society is a fraternity of Calvinistic Baptist Pastors.  They have asked me to address the topic of text criticism.  So, I will do one session on "A Defense of the Traditional Text of Scripture" and a second session on "The Ending of Mark."

Pastor Jeff,

I would ask that you should post the audio of your talks on your sermonaudio site.

BTW, I was in Richmond, VA this past week on a business trip (just in time for the earthquake)and I was hopeful to get to visit your church Wed PM. Unfortunately I didn't have transportation and I wasn't about to be an such an imposition and ask for a ride. It would have been a pleasure to to have spent the evening with the body there though.

AJ,

Good to hear from you. Lord willing, the talks in Roanoke will be recorded and placed on sermonaudio. Sounds like your trip to Virginia was well timed for maximum experience of natural phenomena. A friend of mine referred to last week as "Natural Disaster Week" in the Old Dominion. Feel free to get in touch next time you're in the area.

Blessings, JTR
