Stylos is the blog of Jeff Riddle, a Reformed Baptist Pastor in North Garden, Virginia. The title "Stylos" is the Greek word for pillar. In 1 Timothy 3:15 Paul urges his readers to consider "how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar (stylos) and ground of the truth."

Spot and Drum
On vacation this week at Topsail Island, NC: (1) On the corner of Spot and Drum; (2) Sam and Lydia and cousin Emma; (3) Emma Anderson Chapel at Topsail.
I have some good memories playing Volley Ball there with their youth program long ago. If it's still anything like what it was when I was there, then it's a good place. I wasn't always keen on the theology, but the people there were really good people. (In fact, it was there that I met the first girl I'd ever really fell for, a girl named Wendy with beautiful dark hair...)
Thanks for reminding me of those good times. I miss that island.
