I was laughing when you were responding to White saying the TR wasn't used in the Nicene Council etc.... Based on the evidence, whatever they had, it represented readings at least closer to the TR than the UBS and NA28! Even James Snapp Jr's research displays this truth. There was evidence early in Irenaeus's writings of a few Alexandrian readings, but more Byzantine readings are present overall. There can be a lot of reasons for that, but it seems the Byzantine has more support throughout history and is more dominant. I think there is good reason for this. There is a reason the Alexandrian texts were eventually snubbed out. I personally think it is because they weren't authentic, but rather shortened and edited for a reason unknown to us.
