Running a bit behind after getting back from some vacation last week, but I did get a new Word Magazine posted today. This is the fourth (and final) issue dedicated to reviewing interviews with Reza Aslan on his book Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth. In it I respond to various challenges posed by Aslan to the traditional understanding of Jesus, including:
Was Jesus illiterate?
Did Jesus found the the Christian movement or was it founded by later men (like Paul)?
Were the writers of the NT eyewitnesses to the life and teaching of Jesus?
Did Jesus expect to be worshiped by his followers?
I hope this will be edifying to those who listen.
