On the other hand, I was impressed by God's providential confluence of events in the past week, which included (1) my work on refining my thinking (particularly writing) about providential preservation, (2) Rick Norris's use of Krans's book (which I was not previously familiar with) to attack conjectural emendations in the TR, and today (3) Krans's writing "Why the Textus Receptus Cannot Be Accepted" over at Evangelical Textual Criticism, followed by (4) starting to listen to WM 120! It seemed I found your podcast "for such a time as this"!

Side note: Krans was unabashedly clear in the ETC article that modern textual criticism is a purely scholarly endeavour which does not require any faith on the critic's part -- "for the quality of their work does not depend on their faith but on their adherence to academic standards."

Thanks. Glad you found some profit in it.

JTRJeffrey T. He still continues to makes claims about your position to which you do not hold. I don't know who he is responding to for half of his response, but it certainly isn't you. I think he has spent so much time contending against heretical KJV-onlyism, that he doesn't know how to respond to a fellow reformed baptist who disagrees for legitimate reasons. He ends up resorting to character assassination which sounded a little too KJV-onlyist in attitude. I love Brother James and appreciate his ministry, but he needs to consider this, not just reject it on its face because its not the modern text. PLEASE keep up the faithful diligent work.

In Christ,
AdamKSAdamnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19219922.post-12584920710493961962019-04-04T12:33:59.392-04:002019-04-04T12:33:59.392-04:00Yes, I heard about it.
